What this site is
Every crag page records the same set of things: where the rock is, what it is made of, how long the walk in takes, what the landings are like, what the local ethics are, and which routes are worth your time. Route entries carry a grade, a style, a hold-type profile and a short beta note.
The guide is written for people planning a trip rather than for people collecting grades. That is why approach times, landing hazards and ethics notes get as much space as route lists.
How the content is produced
Records are written and reviewed by climbers who have climbed in the areas described. Entries are revised when access rules, bolting or seasonal closures change, and the revision date is printed on every crag page.
We do not publish sponsored route descriptions and we do not accept payment for a crag to appear. No advertiser has any influence over what a crag page says.
Corrections
If a grade is wrong, a landing has changed, or an access rule has moved, tell us at [email protected]. Corrections that affect safety or access are handled first.
We cannot verify every grade debate, and grades on this site reflect the consensus of the local area rather than any single guidebook.
